Changes
What is life? Why are we born? Are we dying to live or living to die? Why do we do the things that we do? Do we have a choice in the things we do or does the world control us? Are we born liking the things that we like or does the world tell us what to like by what are surroundings are. Do you really have control over you? I often find myself asking myself these questions every single day. Why this and why that? If I wasn't born in a black home with a Christian mother would I have grown to be a Christian myself? If I didn't go to an all black school would I be into hip hop as much as I am now? Culture plays a huge part in our upbringing but the older we get we must learn to find ourselves and see who we truly are. The one thing I just can't understand is why people like what they do. Someone can drink a whole bottle of vodka and find it absolutely disgusting. So why did you drink it? Smokers feel disgusting after smoking a pack of cigarettes in a day, so why smoke? Trends is what's ruling the world right now. The people of my generation are moving at such a rapid speed we can't even sit down and enjoy what's going on in the moment. We're constantly evolving. In my eyes that's a good and a bad thing. For example the internet, it's a wonderful resource but a destructive one at the same time. The internet can be used to build the mind and a brand but instead its safe to say its mostly used for entertainment. The same thing can be said for social media which is a huge marketing tool, but its mostly used for friends and family (and with that comes gossip and drama most of the time). It's nothing wrong with that if you're comfortable with where you're at. If your happy then I'm happy. But the thing after talking to so many people I've learned that a lot of us aren't happy with where were at. So what's stopping us from getting where we want to be? Our strongest opponent is ourselves. I'm a huge Detroit Lions fan and I truly believe they can beat any team in the league and should've went to the Superbowl. But the Lions truly are their own worst enemies. If they did what they had to do they would've reached their goal and like their last game against the Dallas Cowboys, (which was a total fluke by the way) it shows us if you don't go hard for all four quarters you're not going to get what you want in life. We're all trying to chase that Superbowl in a since. I wish the best for everybody and I want everyone to have success, weather its physically, mentally, financially, spiritually, or emotionally. Whatever the case may be I wish the best for you but know whatever you want in life, it won't be handed to you. Don't let this world determine who you are or where your going. Don't give up. Perseverance is strength. Let's get out of our way and find ourselves so we may reach our fullest potential. And remember always go hard, play all four quarters and the game is yours.
